Frequently asked questions

Can a pensioner get a mortgage?

To get a mortgage it doesn’t matter whether you are still working or retired; it is based on affordability. Your income and outgoing expenses will both be taken into consideration as part of the process.

Can you arrange mortgages for over 60s?

Yes. We can arrange mortgages for any age as long as you meet the qualification criteria.

Can you get me a mortgage even if my bank won’t lend to me?

We have providers that could assist you even if your current lender is not prepared to extend your mortgage.

How long does the process take?

This depends on your application, but it will typically take 8-10 weeks from recommendation.

Should I have a mortgage in retirement?

For many people a mortgage is helping them to enjoy their retirement, but it's important to weigh up the different options. Our advisers can help you consider whether a mortgage is right for you.
Remember a mortgage is secured against your home. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

Unless you decide to go ahead, our service is completely free of charge, as our advice fee of £995 would only be payable if the mortgage proceeds to completion.
